Tiny Legends caters for children aged six weeks to school age. Our caring and nurturing educators strive to provide a safe, homelike environment for the most important people in your lives. We ready children for school with an Approved Kindergarten Program tapered to stimulate each child's learning and development with teachers that know how to have fun.
Nursery

In the Tiny Legends Nursery we aim to create a calm, peaceful learning environment that is entertaining and fun. We encourage new parents to slowly transition their baby from home to our Nursery before starting with us to help them become familiar with their Educators, their environment and the other babies in their room.
We follow your eat and sleep routines and encourage children to self feed when their age is appropriate. We have music time daily and craft activities when the routine allows. We have a great play area which encourages the children to explore the outdoor environment, the children can interact with the toddlers in this play space as they participate in combined play with each other. We also encourage activities that include group interactions, ball skills, and physical skills. The child are also encouraged to participate in gardening to take care of our great gardens, as the children water the plants this often leads to them participating in water play. |
Junior Toddlers

Senior Toddlers

In Senior Toddlers we believe every child is an individual, needing a happy and stimulating environment in which to grow. Our program is designed to accommodate the children's needs and learning through play. During your child's time in Senior Toddlers they will be able to participate in individual, small and large group activities. Such activities include stories and literacy activities, art and craft, construction and manipulation toys, puzzles, gross motor activities, group games, home corner etc.
We have a flexible routine within our room to cater for each child’s individual needs. Toilet training, self-help skills, and independence are three of the big areas we try to focus on. The educators work together to create a safe, relaxing environment for both parents and children. We also strive to make the time spent in our care as fun and educational as possible. We as Carer’s are always happy to accept parent input as this helps us to understand what you as parents would like your children to achieve throughout the year. The Senior Toddlers room is very much based around developing self-help skills so your children are confident and ready to move into the older rooms with ease. The activities within our room are based around the children’s interests and spontaneous play. Some of these activities gain one-on-one with the Carer’s and others gain group time with their friends. Both of these are very important for this age group as they are starting to build great friendships with the staff and children in the room. |
Pre-Kindy

Our Pre-Kindy starts every morning with a brainstorming session where the children tell us about their interests or maybe what they have seen in the morning - insects, planes in the sky, trucks, pets. They illustrate this on our brainstorming board which begins our journey of discovery and learning as we extend on your child's interest in a variety of areas. From:

Kindergarten

In the Kindergarten Program, we ready children for school with a Kindergarten Program tapered to stimulate children’s learning and development in a nurturing environment.
We deliver an approved kindergarten program focusing on play-based early learning. Our high quality educational program is guided by the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines and is delivered by a qualified Early Childhood Teachers. We run our kindergarten program daily from 8.30am - 3.30pm Our Kindergarten Classroom is spacious and well resourced. You child is encourage to investigate and explore their surroundings, role play, solve problems and interact with friends. These play experiences help develop the social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills they need for school and for life. |
