How does my child transition between rooms within the Centre?
Each room caters for different levels of development and learning for your child.
As every child's learning journey is slightly different, children are not moved based on age, but rather based on their own development and learning plan. When the Director and Lead Educator of your child's room feel they have achieved the learning outcomes for their current room and are ready to be met with new learning challenges and goals, they will approach you to discuss a transition plan for your child. The transition plan includes your child visiting their new potential room to see how they cope and ensure they are ready. These visits usually happen for about 2 weeks before we confirm that your child will commence in their new room. Whilst transitions are not based on age, some rooms do have some age requirements to be met due to staff:child ratios.
What do I do if my child is sick or going to be absent?
Please send us a quick email or give us a quick call to advise us of the details of your child's absence. If your child is unwell, we need to know the details to ensure that we manage it correctly at the Centre and notify families, staff and cleaners if needed.
